Grand Cafe Karaoke & Rooftop
Tucked in the Bo Put area of Koh Samui, this versatile venue blends an all-day cafe with karaoke entertainment and a rooftop bar, drawing in both locals and travellers looking for more than a standard meal out. The coffee has earned particular praise from visitors, with smooth cappuccinos and lattes keeping regulars coming back, while the food menu spans breakfast options — including a standout mango and coconut porridge — through to burgers and casual dining throughout the day. The rooftop setting comes alive in the evenings with music, and the karaoke element makes it a natural gathering spot for groups. The atmosphere is relaxed and social, with friendly staff frequently highlighted in visitor feedback. A resident dog is also known to greet guests, adding to the welcoming feel of the place. The venue covers a broad range of purposes — morning coffee, a relaxed breakfast, casual lunch, or a lively night out — making it genuinely flexible depending on what kind of visit you are after. Good to know: Grand Cafe Karaoke and Rooftop is open every day from 10am to 11pm, so there is no need to plan around closing days. Earlier hours suit those after a quieter cafe experience, while evenings bring the rooftop and karaoke scene to life. Checking the menu online before visiting is a good idea, as the offering spans coffee, food, and bar service across a longer menu than a typical cafe.

Visitor Reviews
Absolutely delicious! We’ve been here so many times, this year and last year, the quality is always amazing and everything on the menu is so good. Highly recommend
Very good atmosphere, tasty burgers. Good music, and also have rooftop with music at the evening
Great cup of coffee! Very smooth and well balanced flavor. Great service and friendly wait staff. Power treated us like her own relative. We came back again for the awesome cappuccino and latte, and did not dissapoint. They also gave us a dessert to try which was very good. Can't say enough about this coffee shop. Definitely a must try coffee shop.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
