Plaza the Green Night Market
Located in Bo Put on the north coast of Koh Samui, this small open-air night market runs every evening from 5:00pm to 10:00pm, making it a consistent option for travellers looking for a low-key alternative to the island's busier tourist markets. Two rows of vendors offer a mix of local street food and casual shopping, with clothing, souvenirs, and handmade goods sitting alongside food stalls serving traditional Thai dishes including soups, curries, and rice sausages. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, drawing a mix of locals and tourists. It is a compact market, so visitors should expect a modest selection rather than a sprawling night bazaar. The food is the main draw for many visitors, with several stalls offering dishes that reflect everyday Thai home cooking. Quality and variety can differ between stalls, so it is worth browsing before committing to a meal. Good to know: While the market is listed as open seven nights a week, visitor reports suggest the full range of stalls is most reliably open on weekends, particularly Saturdays, when the market is noticeably busier and more complete. Weekday visits may find only a handful of stalls trading. Arriving around opening time on a weekend evening is a good way to browse at a comfortable pace before crowds build. Bring cash, as card payments are unlikely to be accepted at most stalls.

Visitor Reviews
Fantastic, tiny local market. We found it by accident and were amazed. We ate a soup (it is possible to order it without chicken feet, if you’re not into it😜), some round rice sausages and different types of coconut desserts. I’m not sure when does it open though; we ate there on Wednesday around 18:00, but when we were passing by this place on Thursday around 17:00 it seemed closed.
Loved the vibe of this market! Not big but the size and the stalls is enough to cover your dinner needs! All vendors very happy and cheerful and everything I tried I liked! Went there ever night of my stay in the island!
I don’t think it’s open on weekdays. I went on a week day and there were like 3-4 stalls open, but they are the ones along the road. I rode past on A Saturday evening and there were many more stalls set up in the car park of the mini mall there. So I suspect it more of a weekend thing vs a daily thing. Didn’t stop, but 100% sure it’s open and more worth a trip on a Saturday.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
