About Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui

Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui wraps 28 acres of hillside and garden around its own bay on the northeast coast, a two-minute drive from Choeng Mon Beach. It opened in July 1987 as The Tongsai Bay, the first five-star resort on Koh Samui, and now runs under Banyan Group's Garrya brand. Rooms range from beachfront and hillside suites, built around a bath with a view, to seaview villas with private pools, up to three-bedroom pool villas.

The resort leans toward wellness, with the 8LEMENTS spa, a yoga room and wellbeing pool villas, and the bay comes with free hobie cats, kayaks, paddleboards and snorkeling gear from 09:00 to 18:00, weather permitting. There are two outdoor pools, a kids' club, a tennis court and a gym.

Chaweng is a 10-minute drive, Wat Plai Laem 5 minutes and the Big Buddha 10, and the resort puts the airport about 20 minutes away by car. The spa is open from 10:00 to 20:00.
