Big C Supercenter Kanchanaburi
This Big C Supercenter on Thanon Sangchuto is one of Kanchanaburi's most dependable full-scale hypermarkets, stocking everything from fresh produce and Thai cooking staples to clothing, household goods, and a small British imported section — including tinned custard, rice pudding, and Hobnobs — that longer-stay Western travellers tend to appreciate. The store is consistently clean and well-maintained, with a broad car park that comfortably absorbs the regular flow of local shoppers and passing visitors. The in-store food court offers straightforward Thai and international dishes at budget-friendly prices, making it a reliable option for a quick meal without much fuss. On weekends, the store occasionally hosts in-store games and family activity events, lending the space a more animated atmosphere than a typical supermarket visit might suggest. Good to know: visiting in the evening is worth considering, as food items are often reduced near closing time and can work well as a next-day breakfast or packed lunch. Alcohol selection is notably limited compared to other Big C locations, so travellers planning to stock up should factor that in. For a quieter, more relaxed experience, mid-morning on weekdays is generally the calmest time to shop. The store is open every day from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Visitor Reviews
Extraordinaire ambience. Well cleaned and maintained perfectly. Good place to take have a food. Reasonable price and excellent quality food. Worth to have it. By the way there is a neat parking lot and super shopping spot and they sell cars as well. They do not accept Amex card here.
This place provides a variety of needs in full. The goods provided are very diverse. The place is clean, secure security. Land for vehicle parking is also very broad. This place is always crowded with buyers. #letsguide
There was an activity here just now, the game price is cheap, it is a good place for family activities on a weekend...

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
