SEEN Restaurant & Bar Bangkok

4.6(1,583 reviews)$$$$

Perched on the 26th floor of the AVANI Riverside Bangkok hotel on the Thon Buri side of the Chao Phraya River, this rooftop venue delivers some of the most expansive, unobstructed views of Bangkok's skyline available at any dining destination in the city. Operating as both a restaurant and a cocktail bar with a live DJ component, it draws visitors looking for a polished evening out as much as a quality meal. The atmosphere leans sophisticated — contemporary design, riverside panoramas, and a strong cocktails program make it a credible destination for evening drinks even if dining is not the primary aim. Visitor reviews consistently praise the views and bar experience, with cocktails and service drawing particular mention. The food receives positive but slightly more measured responses, so those visiting primarily to eat should set expectations accordingly rather than treating the cuisine as the main draw. A few practical points worth knowing before visiting: a minimum spend of approximately 5,000 THB applies to tables with river views, which is enforced at seating and should be factored into budget planning. Upscale pricing applies across the menu. The venue is open daily from 11:00 AM to midnight, though evenings are the natural fit given the skyline ambiance. Reservations are advisable, particularly on weekends. The Charoen Nakhon Road location sits on the west bank of the river, so visitors staying on the Sukhumvit or Silom side should plan for a taxi or river taxi crossing.

Visitor Reviews

After 2 1/2 weeks in this beautiful country, we bid adieux in glorious style. The Avani hotel was welcoming and spectacular in every way. From a lovely reception, to a well appointed room with a wall of windows providing for expansive views of the river to poolside relaxation with lovely cocktails and breathtaking views of the entire city, nothing was short of amazing. I must add a very special note of thanks to George our bartender at SEEN. If you are fortunate enough to have him serve you, he will most certainly not dissapoint!! We can't wait to return or to even try one of your other locations if Avani is reflective of the Minor Hotel brand. Thank you for making our final night in Thailand a celebratory memory!

SEEN Restaurant in Bangkok, located on the 26th floor of Avani Riverside Hotel, offers a great dining experience. The food is very good, and the view from the 26th floor is really amazing. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the city and the Chao Phraya River while having your meal. A great place to relax, enjoy good food, and take in the stunning skyline of Bangkok.

Pan & Kik took care of us tonight. The service is excellent. The view is incredible as you can see the river like a panoramic scene. And it’s full moon tonight so it’s more scenic. The food is good especially King crab risotto and lamb shops and the dessert “Baby Banana” is really delicious.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food

Learn the Spice Scale

Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.

Follow the Crowds

The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.

Ice Is Safe

Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
