Asiatique Ferry Service to Sathon Pier

The free shuttle boat is the reason you can visit Asiatique without dreading the trip home. It runs between the complex and Sathon Pier, right by Saphan Taksin BTS, so you skip the traffic entirely and get a short run along the Chao Phraya instead. Costs nothing. That alone makes it the sensible way in and out.

Don't romanticize it, though. This is transport, not a river cruise. Reviewers describe it as loud, crowded and not especially clean, and the boarding point inside Asiatique is genuinely hard to find. The landmark people use is a bar called Wine I Love You, and the boat pulls in more or less in front of it. If you're chasing a proper river experience, a hop-on hop-off pass will serve you better than this.

I'd also flag the Ferris wheel while I'm here, since most people ride it after arriving. At 500 baht for about fifteen slow minutes behind tinted glass, several visitors felt short-changed.
