Why go, and how to do it well
Simon Cabaret is Phuket's best-known ladyboy cabaret, a glossy song-and-dance revue performed by a transgender cast in a 600-seat theatre on Sirirach Road at the southern end of Patong, on the way out toward Karon. It opened in 1991, and the show is a run of big costume production numbers, lip-synced songs and comedy.
There are three shows a night, at 18:00, 19:30 and 21:00, every day. Tickets are sold on the venue's own website, at the box office and through the hotel tour desks and booking sites, which often undercut the box office, so compare before you buy. The theatre is a short taxi or tuk-tuk ride from the Bangla Road end of Patong.
Photos aren't allowed during the show. Afterward the performers line up outside for pictures, and they expect a tip of around ฿100 for each one, so keep small notes handy.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
Arrange Your Ride Home
Use Grab (ride-hailing app) to get home safely — taxis outside nightlife areas late at night often refuse meters. Set up the app before going out, and keep your phone charged.
