Visitor Reviews
A very good and lively market with a great atmosphere. OTOP Market Phuket is a perfect place to experience local vibes, street food, and shopping all in one spot. The market is well organized, easy to walk around, and full of variety. There’s a wide selection of food stalls offering delicious Thai dishes, snacks, and desserts, all freshly prepared and reasonably priced. You’ll also find shops selling souvenirs, local products, clothes, accessories, and handmade items, which makes it great for both tourists and locals. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, especially in the evening, with music, friendly vendors, and plenty of seating areas to enjoy your food. The staff and vendors are welcoming and helpful, which adds to the overall positive experience. Overall, it’s a very enjoyable market and definitely worth visiting if you’re in Phuket. Great food, good prices, and a lively local experience I would happily visit again.
If you are looking for local food and souvenir shop this is one of the best places in the area. There are a lot of stores and food stands with all kinds of food.
A well organised and very clean shopping complex, easy to walk end to end in 20 to 30 minutes including stops. Good place to pick up souvenirs without feeling ripped off and the layout makes browsing stress free. We visited just after opening at 5pm and it was quite empty, which actually made shopping more pleasant. Expect it to fill up as the evening progresses. One observation: a surprisingly large number of Australian themed diners in the mix, which gives it an oddly international feel for a Thai market. Fine if that is your thing but for a proper street food experience Malin Plaza nearby is the better call. Worth a visit if you are in the area, just go in knowing it is more of a shopping stop than a food destination.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
