Lisa on the beach
Sitting directly opposite the beach on South Pattaya Road, Lisa on the Beach has earned a strong following as one of Pattaya's go-to live music venues. The open-air setup draws a loyal crowd of both tourists and locals who come specifically for the bands, which specialise in 80s and 90s rock and metal performed with genuine skill and energy. The relaxed beachfront setting and budget-friendly drinks prices make it an easy place to settle in for the evening. Visitors can expect a warm, social atmosphere where the music is the main event. The bands perform nightly and the venue stays open until 3am, giving guests plenty of time to enjoy multiple sets. The bar staff and hosts have been consistently praised by regulars for their friendliness, and the open-air layout keeps things comfortable even on busier nights. It works equally well as a casual first stop or a place to end the evening. Good to know: Opening hours are not officially listed, but visitor accounts confirm the live music runs until at least 3am, making it a solid late-night option. Pattaya's peak tourist season runs from November to February, when the area gets noticeably busier, so arriving earlier in the evening is a reasonable strategy if you prefer a seat with a good view of the stage. There is no website listed, so confirming current schedules through your accommodation or a quick visit in person is the most reliable approach.

Visitor Reviews
This is our favorite rock bar. We have never met more professional and talented groups anywhere else in Pattaya - these are truly musicians with a capital M who live music and perform it with soul!!! They have a huge share of energy, charm and artistry. You can play billiards and have a snack. You can come with your dog. Good service, sometimes a bit intrusive. Very democratic price. And most importantly - a sincere atmosphere !!! You always feel like you're at a party among friends.
What a fantastic evening, loved the live music, and praised the band’s talented (Tu) a singer for their great performance and stage presence. They also highlighted the friendly bar manager (Boss) who takes good care of customers. If you’re reviewing this for the pub, they’re doing an excellent job creating a welcoming and entertaining atmosphere. Will go back again when we in Pattaya for sure.
I went to Lisa's to hear some live music. What a treat! The band was amazing. So good that I went back the next night too. Service was excellent. Everyone was warm and welcoming. It's an open space with lots of fans so it's very comfortable. If I lived in Pattaya I would be a regular. Can't wait to return.
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
