Shibuya Pattaya
Perched on Beach Road in the heart of Pattaya, Shibuya is a beachfront bar and dining venue that blends Japanese-inspired food with a lively nightlife atmosphere. The second-floor terrace faces directly onto Pattaya Beach, making it a popular spot for evening drinks with a view. A live band plays regularly, adding to the social energy that draws both tourists and locals looking for a relaxed but entertaining night out. The menu covers Japanese-leaning dishes including sushi, takoyaki, and curry rice, alongside a solid drinks selection featuring draft Asahi and Budweiser, cocktails, and bottled beers. Reviewers highlight the fresh sushi and crispy tako balls as standout food options, though the venue feels primarily bar-oriented rather than a dedicated restaurant. The atmosphere upstairs is consistently described as the highlight, offering open-air views of the beach while the band plays below. Good to know: Shibuya opens at 6 PM every day of the week and stays open until 2 AM, making it suited to late-evening plans rather than early dinners. There is a minimum age of 20 for men to access the upper floor, so it is worth keeping this in mind when visiting in a group. Menu prices lean toward the higher end for Pattaya, so budget-conscious travellers should check the current menu on their Facebook page before visiting.

Visitor Reviews
Shibuya has become my favourite hangout spot for drinks with friends. There is a wide selection of beer and cocktail options to fit everyone's preferences. Draft beer is also available (Asahi or Budweiser) through beer towers. The venue is dimly lit with quality live music every day (two bands per day) providing the perfect chill atmosphere to sit out and relax. The place is also decorated very stylishly in the Japanese theme. We especially liked how the tables were custom made with beer crates. Service quality by staff was top notch. Staff were very helpful and were always on standby, refilling drinks for us etc. Staff were also delightful to talk to with how nice and friendly they were. For downsides, we can only say that the food isnt the greatest. The prices were considerably high for the amount we got and the mediocre taste. Other than that, the prices of the cocktails are also very high.
Great place to chill! Make sure you head upstairs - they have a minimum age of 20 for men though. The tako balls are crispy good, raw prawns yummy and the curry rice is spicy! The rooftop area is the best though, attentive staff, good music, interesting place to people watch. The crowd is mostly local thais and its a welcomed oasis of normalcy amidst the surrounding craziness.
The food tastes okay, the atmosphere is nice, and the beer is decent. If the glass for the draft beer had been chilled, it would’ve made the beer taste even better. 🍺 Overall, it feels more like a Thai-style bar more than Japanese or Izakaya. 🤗

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
