Candy Shop

4.2(420 reviews)

Candy Shop sits on the heart of Walking Street, Pattaya's most famous nightlife strip, and draws in crowds with its live music performances and open-air layout. The venue operates as a bar and live music spot, with bands keeping the energy high throughout the night. Its position directly on Walking Street makes it easy to stumble upon — and equally easy to stay longer than planned. The atmosphere is lively and social, with a mix of tourists and visitors dancing and drinking into the early hours. The open-air design keeps things surprisingly comfortable despite the energy inside. Staff are generally noted as friendly, though service can be inconsistent during busier periods. Drinks lean toward the higher end of Pattaya's pricing scale — expect to pay around 170 baht or more for a beer — so it is worth budgeting accordingly. Weekend nights feature additional entertainment, including dancing performers, which adds to the spectacle. Good to know: the bathrooms have attendants who can be quite persistent about tips, which some visitors find intrusive. Walking Street comes alive after 9 PM, with peak crowds arriving around 10 PM onwards. Arriving slightly earlier means a more relaxed experience before the main rush. Casual clothing is perfectly appropriate, and the open street-facing layout means you can easily get a feel for the place before committing to a drink.

Visitor Reviews

Went for a walk then heard loud music went in to watch , ended up dancing all night. Open club, well cooled despite being open , friendly staff ,simply amazing. Ordered some beers.

The place is great for live music bands are lively and fun but lacks variety. Service is great, all the serving staff is very friendly and helpful but sometimes some of them seem uninterested and demands for drinks. The place lacks comfortable sitting and Most of the AC doesn't seem to work. Used to have better singers in past. Still an alright place to chill once in a while!

Live Musick is great including beautiful tanzen girls for weekend the location very well to view walking people at street but the have Drink prices are too high beer 170 baht 😳

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars

Carry Your Passport or a Copy

Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.

Know the Closing Times

Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.

Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously

Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
