The Roof - Bar & Diner
Perched on the fourth floor of a building on Pattaya's famous Walking Street, The Roof - Bar & Diner offers an elevated retreat from the noise and chaos of one of Thailand's most frenetic nightlife strips. The venue serves food and drinks in an open setting with views overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, making it a popular choice for groups looking to socialise in a relatively relaxed environment without straying far from the action below. Visitors can expect a casual bar-and-diner atmosphere with a menu that includes fried chicken wings and a selection of beers, including Japanese and local Thai options such as Singha. The venue also features karaoke, giving it a lively edge on busier nights. Reviews note that the staff are friendly and the space is kept clean, though some guests have flagged intermittent cigarette smoke and the intensity of the blue neon lighting as minor drawbacks worth being aware of. The Roof opens at 18:00 every night of the week and stays open until 04:00, making it best suited to evening and late-night visits. It is worth noting that while the name implies a rooftop setting, the bar sits on the fourth floor rather than the building's highest point, so expectations around height and panoramic views should be adjusted accordingly. Check their Facebook page for any updates on events or promotions before visiting.

Visitor Reviews
Very cool rooftop bar and restaurant. The staff is very nice. And the place is clean. Really nice spot to get away from the madness of walking street if you want a place to bring friends to sit and chat and just chill. The food is good as well. I would definitely come back here. The 3rd floor has karaoke.
Pretty good place with delicious fried chicken wings, and tasty Japanese beer. The view from the rooftop is also good, but that blue neon light is very uncomfortable for eyes, you should move it behind the fence, out of line of sight, so it will not irritate your eyes. Please think about it
Decent karaoke bar, singha beer for 150 baht. It’s on the 3rd floor. Has a balcony overlooking the chaos below. Was a great night !

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
