Why go, and how to do it well
Come here for the water and the trees, not for facilities. This is a raw, open-air hot spring site in the forest outside Pai town, with geothermal pools rather than a spa built around them. If you want loungers, robes and a smoothie menu, you'll be disappointed. If you want to sit in warm water with mountain air on your face and not much else going on, it does exactly that.
The best time is November to February, when the cool northern air makes the heat of the pools feel properly good. Outside those months, the contrast is much weaker and a midday soak can be hard work. Early in the day is quieter. Give yourself an hour or two, and treat it as one stop in a wider day out rather than the whole plan, especially if you've just survived the drive up to Pai and want to unstiffen.

Check Operator Safety Records
For adventure activities (zip-lining, bungee jumping, diving), check recent reviews specifically mentioning equipment condition and safety briefings. Thailand's regulation varies — reputable operators will have insurance and certified guides.
