It sits on Damnernkasem Road, the main run down to the beach, and it works as both a proper sit-down dinner spot and a place to park yourself at the bar for a few hours. The crowd is a mix of expats who treat it as a local and travelers who wander in off the street. Nothing about it is trying to be clever, which is rather the point. If you want a quiet meal, eat early. The later it gets, especially at the end of the week, the more it turns into a drinking pub with food attached, and that's fine as long as you know which one you're walking into.
