Walking Street Soi Bintabaht

4.0(692 reviews)

Think of this as a scaled-down version of the walking streets in Pattaya, Phuket or Bangkok, and that's the appeal. It's short, it's casual, and the volume never quite reaches the point where you have to shout. Bars, food, a few places with live music, and a heavy concentration of massage parlours. There's a bar-girl element to the strip too, which is worth knowing before you wander down with the family. Plenty of people just come for a beer, a game of pool and an hour of watching the street go past.

Timing matters more than anything here. In the afternoon it's close to dead, shutters down, no reason to walk it. After dark it fills out, and Monday feels very different from Saturday. My advice is to arrive in the evening and treat the first bar as a scouting mission rather than a commitment.

The one genuine complaint in the reviews is price. Several drinkers reckon the strip charges well above what the beach bars nearby ask for the same beer, and I'd take that seriously. Wander, look at what's being poured, then sit down.

Fun place! I’ve been to walking streets in Phuket, Pattaya, and Bangkok. This is much smaller and much more chill in comparison (we went on a Monday night, however), which is my preference. Stopped at a couple places for drinks and to people watch. Worth checking out when in Hua Hin!

Food, bars, live music and lots of massage parlours. It was pretty quiet when we walked through it in the afternoon, it really livenes up in the evening.

Nice enough spot, but I think they’re charging for the oxygen here. The prices are sky-high, and unfortunately, the experience doesn't justify the cost—especially when the beach bars nearby offer a better atmosphere for a fraction of the price. Come here if you’re looking to lighten your wallet quickly; skip it if you want a fair deal.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars

Carry Your Passport or a Copy

Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.

Know the Closing Times

Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.

Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously

Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
