A LA MER (by Kosmo)
Tucked along Soi Naresdamri in central Hua Hin, A La Mer (by Kosmo) operates as a restaurant, bar, and gastropub with a European character and a menu that ranges well beyond any single cuisine. Visitors have praised Italian dishes — wood-fired style pizzas and pasta — alongside fresh seafood platters, tuna tartare, schnitzel, and Thai-influenced options such as Yum Woon Sen. The kitchen draws on quality ingredients, and the grilled seafood in particular has drawn strong praise, with prawns, squid, and oysters among the standout choices. The interior is described by guests as cosy and well-decorated, and the service is consistently noted as friendly and attentive. The venue suits a range of occasions, from casual evening meals to longer dinners with drinks, and the bar element means it works equally well as a spot to linger over wine after eating. The atmosphere leans relaxed without feeling informal, and the mix of international and local dishes makes it a practical choice for groups with varied tastes. Practical note: opening hours are not published online, so it is worth confirming current times before visiting, particularly outside peak season. The address on Soi Naresdamri places it within easy walking distance of Hua Hin's beachfront area. Casual dress is appropriate, and given the modest size of the venue, visiting earlier in the evening or checking in advance about table availability is advisable during busy periods.

Visitor Reviews
The food was delicious; everything we tried was exquisite. The tuna tartar was a 10/10 (I forgot to take a photo), the fish was beautifully cooked with ratatouille stew, the schnitzel was tender without any sinew (just as it should be), and the side dish was delicious; you can choose between spinach or mashed potatoes. For dessert, we ordered an apple tart with vanilla ice cream that was incredible; it melted in your mouth. And the staff is very attentive and friendly; we had a great dinner. The place is a hidden gem!
Amazing fresh seafood platter and Yum Woon Sen — absolutely delicious! The grilled prawns, squid, and oysters were especially outstanding, and the dipping sauces paired perfectly with everything. Super fresh and flavorful. Just a 20-meter walk from Centara Hua Hin. Chill vibe and great service. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving top-quality seafood!
Just discovered an amazing restaurant in Hua Hin! Great location. The service is very very good and the taste of the food is top notch. The interior and decoration is very cozy.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
