Organic Health Store PAI, SYMBIOSIS
Tucked into the Wednesday Market area of Pai, Symbiosis is an organic health store offering an unusually broad range of products for a town of this size. Visitors can browse dietary supplements, cold-pressed oils, tinctures, powders, capsules, herbal teas, vegan snacks, spices, aromatherapy items, incense, wines, and juices — with a particular following for its cordyceps coffee and plant medicine selections. The store carries both everyday organic staples and more specialised wellness products, making it a practical stop for health-conscious travellers stocking up on quality ingredients or remedies. The atmosphere is attentive and knowledgeable, with staff noted for being helpful and well-informed about the products on offer. The store's branding and presentation are polished, giving it a more considered feel than a typical market stall. Products span a wide range of categories, so whether a visitor is after something functional like olive oil and lemon juice or something more specific like herbal tinctures and plant medicines, there is likely something of interest. Symbiosis is open seven days a week from 9:00am to 8:00pm, making it easy to fit into any itinerary. Those visiting Pai's Wednesday Walking Street in the evening may want to stop by earlier in the day when the store is less likely to be busy and staff have more time to assist with product questions. Visitor Reviews
Symbiosis is hands down one of the best health stores in Asia, and a true gem in Pai! The store offers an impressive selection of top-quality products, from everyday staples like organic olive oil, lentils, peanut butter, tahini, and spices, to specialty items like nutritional yeast and a vast variety of protein powders. I’m also a huge fan of their Palo Santo, which adds a lovely touch to any space, and their vegan cheeses, which are absolutely delicious. For wine lovers, they carry the best biodynamic vegan wines I’ve tasted. There’s just so much to explore, and the variety is endless! Whether you’re looking for essential pantry items, unique health products, or sustainable living options, Symbiosis has it all. I highly recommend visiting and discovering the incredible range of products for yourself—you won’t be disappointed!
Great variety of high quality organic products: dietary supplements, food ingredients, snacks, tinctures, powders, capsules, oils, cremes, aroma therapy, wines, juices, spices, plant medicines, incense, body care etc. - mostly with English products labels. Good atmosphere. One of the employees is very kind, service oriented, and quite fluent in English. The other employee he/she displayed a lack of attitude. So it could be helpful to know what you are looking for, search for things in the shop yourself, and you will very likely find your products.
A Gem in Pai’s Organic Scene! Macrobiotic World by Natural Efe is hands down the best organic shop in Pai! 🌿 From cold-pressed oils to vegan snacks, everything here screams quality and care. I was particularly impressed by their stone-milled nut butters—they’re so smooth and flavorful. The prices are surprisingly reasonable for such high-quality, organic products. Don’t miss their selection of superfoods like spirulina and chia seeds—it’s perfect for smoothie lovers! Whether you’re a health enthusiast or just curious, this shop is a must-visit.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
