Janym Vegetarian/Vegan Restaurant & Yoga Studio Pai
Tucked into the laid-back mountain town of Pai, this combined vegetarian and vegan restaurant and yoga studio draws health-conscious travellers looking to slow down and reset. The space has earned a strong local reputation for its thoughtful design and concept — visitors frequently note the stylish yet relaxed atmosphere as a highlight in itself, with the physical space feeling considered and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The menu is entirely plant-based, with standout dishes including a creamy mushroom soup and mushroom coffee that have drawn particular praise from diners. The kitchen delivers food that is both flavourful and genuinely nourishing — qualities that complement the on-site yoga studio, which rounds out the wellness offering for guests looking to pair movement with mindful eating. The overall experience feels integrated rather than incidental, making it a natural base for travellers spending several days in Pai. Good to know: Service quality can vary depending on who is working, so patience is worth bringing along. As opening hours are not listed online and class schedules are subject to change, it is advisable to visit in person or enquire locally before planning your day around a specific session. Pai's cooler mountain mornings make early visits particularly pleasant, especially ahead of a yoga class followed by breakfast.

Visitor Reviews
We arrived in Pai and the first thing we did was to come and visit Janym Vegan Restaurant. The design, concept, the space were giving, from the beginning. We ordered different things (see pictures and descriptions) and the food came so fast. The drinks and the dessert were a huge surprise. Such a treat!!! A bit pricey but it was worth it. Everything felt fresh, delicious, conscious. I will come back for sure. Keep up the good work 👏🏼
The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is excellent – a really beautiful place to enjoy a meal. The service depends a lot on who is working. Some staff seem a bit unsure or distracted, and their English is quite limited. Overall still a great restaurant, mainly because of the amazing food and lovely setting.
All the dishes I ordered were absolutely beautiful. The mushroom soup is at the top - creamy, mushroomy, and tastes super healthy. Mushroom coffee is also amazing, a must-have.

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
