On Street Bar

4.8(200 reviews)$$$$

Tucked inside the Banana Market in Bo Put, this casual bar has built a loyal following among both visitors and locals for its expertly made cocktails and genuinely warm atmosphere. Positioned next to Haven shopping complex and opposite Banana Fan Sea Resort, it occupies an unassuming spot that regulars describe as a hidden find — the kind of place that rewards those who wander off the main strip. The drinks are a clear highlight, with cocktails made using real fruit juices rather than syrups, a detail that regulars consistently notice and appreciate. The atmosphere is relaxed and social, with good music setting the tone on most nights, and live music appearances adding to the appeal. Staff are frequently praised for their friendliness, and the budget price point means visitors can settle in for the evening without watching the bill too closely. On Street Bar opens every night of the week from 7 PM through to 2 AM, making it a reliable option for late-evening plans. The atmosphere tends to build as the night progresses, so arriving after 9 PM puts visitors in the middle of the action. For those staying nearby, it is an easy walk from several Bo Put hotels and serves as a natural stopping point before or after browsing the surrounding market stalls.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls

Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.

Arrive Early or Late

Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.

Be Cautious with Tailors

Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
