The location is the whole argument here. Vichit sits on a quieter stretch of Phuket's coast, so you get direct Andaman frontage without the scooter horns and bar noise that come with Patong or Karon. If your idea of a good holiday is walking out of your room, onto sand, and not seeing a jet ski hawker for an hour, this is the sort of place that works.

It's part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, which in practice means it's meant to have its own character rather than the same lobby you'd find in any other city. Rooms are comfortable, there's more than one place to eat on site, and the beachfront setup covers both the do-nothing days and the water sports and island trip days. My advice is to treat it as a base rather than a bunker. You're not in the thick of things, so plan your Phuket Town or Big Buddha runs properly rather than deciding at breakfast.
