Kao Khad View Point
Perched in the quieter southeastern interior of Phuket, this hilltop observation tower offers expansive 360-degree views across a varied landscape of forested hills, coastal waters, and the distant silhouette of the Big Buddha Temple. Unlike the island's busier, beach-focused attractions, the surrounding roads are calm and lined with lush greenery, giving the journey there its own unhurried character. The elevated tower structure allows visitors to look out across multiple directions without obstruction, making it a natural stop for those wanting to appreciate Phuket's topography beyond its shoreline. The atmosphere is consistently peaceful, drawing a relaxed mix of casual visitors, families, and photography enthusiasts. Sunset is a particular highlight, with shifting light casting striking colours across the landscape and sea. A short distance further down the road sits an additional sunset vantage point that visitors frequently recommend as a worthwhile extension of the trip. Good to know: The site is open around the clock every day of the week, so timing a visit around sunrise or sunset tends to yield the most rewarding conditions. The cooler months from November through February are noted by visitors as especially scenic. Comfortable footwear is advisable for climbing the tower, and weekday visits are generally quieter than weekends for those who prefer a more relaxed experience.

Visitor Reviews
An exceptional spot to watch the sunset over Phuket, with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and the iconic Big Buddha Temple in the distance. The atmosphere is peaceful and truly memorable, making it a perfect place to pause, take in the scenery, and enjoy one of the island’s most beautiful moments of the day. It is worth noting that there are no shops or facilities in the immediate area, so it is advisable to arrive well prepared with any refreshments or essentials you may need.
It's a passing through halt on the incline. People stay watch the view take pictures with friends and families.Enjoy the view of benevolent sea, mountains, foliage and changing sky! It's still a great relief in a consumerist society where even joy of travel is also sold as a can of Coke! Had whispered joyful moments in Communion with Nature.
Best spot for sunset in winter months. I visited this place in first week of February. Enjoy the peaceful summer with panoramic view

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
