Laem Hin Seafood
Sitting directly on a pier along Thepkrasattri Road near Ko Kaeo, this open-air seafood restaurant occupies a spot that rewards the effort of finding it. The setting is decidedly rustic and unhurried, drawing a loyal local crowd alongside visitors willing to navigate away from Phuket's main tourist strips. Sunset views across the water are a consistent highlight, and the pier-side position gives meals a coastal character that beachfront restaurants in busier areas rarely match at this price point. The menu centres on fresh seafood, with live seafood options available alongside grilled fish, clams, and rice dishes such as salted fish fried rice. The kitchen is straightforward rather than refined, and the physical setup is well-worn, so diners should arrive expecting an authentic, no-frills experience rather than a polished dining room. Pricing is fair for the quality and location, making it a practical choice for those wanting honest coastal food without a premium markup. Good to know: Laem Hin Seafood is pork-free, which suits visitors with dietary requirements around pork. Opening hours are not confirmed online, so arriving within standard Thai lunch or dinner service windows is the safest approach. The restaurant sits outside central Phuket and is most practically reached by car, taxi, or ride-share app. On-site parking is available. The GPS route may feel uncertain towards the end, but the restaurant is there.

Visitor Reviews
Its one of those places that as you mske your way there, you wonder if the gps got it wrong. Persevere, and its charm is the extremely laid back yet local but visited by determined tourists vibe. At least thats what it felt like on a late weekday lunch. Place looks weather worn, and adds to the charm. Really, everything we ate was good. Its definitely a shorts and t shirt place. Crocs will complete your casual chill. So will a Singha.
We've been coming here for years and always had a good meal and a good time. Atmosphere doesn't get much more rustic and local, seafood is always fresh, and prices are very fair. The place is pork-free, and worth the long trip there to the east cost.
Food is delicious! Fresh lived seafood and plenty of options. The view at sunset is marvelous. Price is more than reasonable.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
