Situated along Rural Road Mae Hong Son 4024 in the Tambon Mae Hi area, this owner-operated resort sits roughly 1.7 kilometres outside of Pai's town centre, surrounded by rice fields that offer a quiet, rural atmosphere uncommon in more centrally located accommodation. The property features an outdoor pool set among trees and tropical greenery, giving it a jungle-like feel that appeals to travellers seeking calm over convenience. Free Wi-Fi is included, and the grounds are generally described by visitors as well-kept and tranquil. Rooms are distributed around the pool area amid the natural surroundings, and the walk into central Pai takes approximately 20 minutes along a pleasant path. The resort has been operating for over a decade under its original owner, which contributes to its established, down-to-earth character. Practical note: the resort's reception hours run from 07:00 to 20:00 every day of the week, so travellers planning late arrivals should arrange this in advance. While many guests report a peaceful and enjoyable stay, a number of recent reviews raise concerns about room cleanliness, maintenance issues, and hygiene standards, including reports of bed bugs and equipment in disrepair. Prospective guests are advised to read current reviews carefully before booking and to confirm room condition upon check-in. The pool, while noted as a highlight, has been described as cold, which may be worth considering during cooler months when Pai's mountain temperatures can drop significantly at night.

Visitor Reviews
We just spent four wonderful days at the My Pai Guesthouse. Built 10 years ago and operated by the owner, it is just 1.7km outside of Pai and surrounded by rice fields offering quietness and serenity in a beautiful garden. The bungalow 121 we stayed in, was very spacious, super-clean, had a nice bathroom with an enormous shower area, a/c, comfortable beds, a safe in the wardrobe and was serviced daily. Breakfast is served on a deck next to the reception area and you can choose from 4 different options (150 baht/pP). Instant coffee, powdered milk, Milo, tea and hot water in a thermos and bottled juices are available for your morning beverages. The pool area, surrounded by a waterchannel with large gold fishes, offers you relaxation and a refreshing swim in the clean pool with a waterfall. Thank you kindly for providing us with 2 warm blankets. This kept us warm during the night when the temperatures dropp to 12 degrees celsius. We truly enjoyed our stay at My Pai Guesthouse and would highly recommend it. There might be some minor improvements to consider for the owner: 1) Freshly brewed coffee (in a thermos or coffee machine) and fresh milk instead of instant coffee and powdered milk. Slso coffee/tea cups instead of paper cups. This would also reduce the amount of rubbish. 2) The pillows were quite lumpy and may need to be replaced 3) The safe in the wardrobe must be bolted in/screwed into the back wall, currently everyone can just take it away. Once again, thank you for the lovely time.
A lovely, well-kept and peaceful resort with a pool and a jungle atmosphere. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the center, which didn’t bother me at all—the walk is pleasant, and the little path just before the resort feels almost meditative. The host is very kind and incredibly helpful! The rooms are spacious and clean. Coming back to Pai? I’d definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our 3 night stay here, there is a lovely if pretty cold pool and rooms interspersed around it in between trees and jungle. The TV screen in our room was badly damaged and really needs to be changed but there wasn't hardly any English speaking channels to watch anyway. Room furniture is fairly old and bathroom ok. It is a little out of town down a lovely tree lined lane, with views of the rice fields and mountains, it's nice and quiet.
