The Countryside Resort Pai
Compare prices
Nestled in the rice fields on the outskirts of Pai, this small family-run resort offers a genuinely rural escape with scenic mountain views and a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. The property features laid-back cabins with rooftop terraces and a clean outdoor pool, making it a popular base for travellers looking to slow down and soak in the natural landscape of Mae Hong Son province. What consistently sets it apart, according to visitors, is the warmth of the staff — guests frequently highlight complimentary gestures such as breakfast, laundry service, and free transport to the bus station as part of a hospitality experience that feels personal rather than transactional. The setting leans into its wild, off-the-beaten-path character, which is part of the appeal for those seeking something beyond a standard hotel stay. Rooms are modest, and a small number of reviewers have noted occasional issues with water pressure and cleanliness, so expectations should be calibrated accordingly. The resort suits travellers who prioritise atmosphere and character over polished amenities. Good to know: The Countryside Resort Pai is located in Tambon Mae Hi, a short distance from Pai town centre, so having a scooter or arranging transport is advisable for exploring the area. The resort appears to operate around the clock. Prospective guests are advised to check the Facebook page directly for current availability and room options, as booking details and photos are managed there.

Visitor Reviews
A wonderful peaceful clean stay. The nicest service we have experienced in Thailand, offerred a complementary breakfast, laundry service, free transport to the bus station and a smiley welcome every time we came back to the resort. Each individual cabin is comfortable, nicely decorated and clean with stunning views. Only a 15 min walk or 5 min moped into central Pai
An amazing place to stay in Pai. The only downside is that the water pressure in the bathroom can be low, and the water temperature sometimes might not be satisfactory. However, when deciding to come to Thailand, you should expect that in most places around the country.
Amazing place. Beautiful surroundings, the staff were super friendly and helpful. Nice spots to chill including a nice clean pool. The rooms were okay.
