iuDia Hotel

4.5(436 reviews)

Situated along the banks of the river in Ayutthaya, iuDia Hotel offers guests refined accommodation with a distinctly local character. Several rooms face directly onto the river and the ancient temple ruins on the opposite bank, making it a natural choice for travellers who want their surroundings to feel connected to the destination itself. A small gallery and art touches throughout the property add a thoughtful, curated atmosphere that sets it apart from standard lodging options in the area.

Guests can expect a calm, private environment with a pool positioned right alongside the river — an ideal spot for watching both sunrise and sunset. Breakfast is served daily and includes both a buffet and à la carte options. Free loaner bicycles are available, which suits Ayutthaya well given the number of temple ruins and historic sites accessible by bike. The surrounding neighbourhood also has plenty of practical conveniences within easy reach, including cafes, local eateries, a 7-Eleven, and the area's well-known Roti Sai Mai shops.

The hotel reception and facilities operate from 07:00 to 21:00 daily, so travellers arriving on late-night transport should arrange check-in details in advance. Given the intimate scale of the property and its popularity among visitors seeking a quieter, more atmospheric stay in Ayutthaya, booking ahead is advisable, particularly during peak travel periods around Thailand's historic festival dates.

I had a great time at the hotel. It is a small hotel with excellent service. The staff is amazing, they really help you with all you need. Breakfast has a small buffet and à la carte menu. Everything is fresh. The pool area is also small, but very well manicured and the view is amazing. It really feels more like a home than a hotel. My room was spotless and modern. I was under the impression that it was closer to the temples, but it is a good 25 minute walk instead. That’s fine with me, but just something to consider. To be fair, I don’t think I saw any hotel closer to the park. Or at least none with the same star rating. I would recommend staying overnight in Ayutthaya! In particular over the weekend, so that you can enjoy the night markets.

Great hotel. Among the best in Ayuthaya. Peaceful, relaxed, pricate and silent atmosphere. Great view on the temple and river. Good breakfast. Free bcycles. Very good restaurant for the dinner is just 100 meters west. Many thanks to the hotel staff and host!

We had a 3 nights stay months ago. Location is good if you don't have a car yourself, there's restaurants, cafes, lunch eateries, 7-11 and most of all, lots of Roti Sai Mai shops opens from early morning till night, along the road in a walking distance. This boutique hotel has not much facilities, there is a swimming pool is overlooking to the view of the temple on the opposite side, which is tranquil all the time as there's only 13 rooms in the hotel. I never understand how they maintain the hygiene of the pool as there's moss all over the walls in the pool, natural but not quite understand. Our room is located on the second floor but it's a bit below my expectations, the ceiling is high and the room is spacious, there's a few windows but apparently we prefer not to open the shade as people can walk outside our room, so all the time we have to turn on the light instead. This is quite upsetting as I believe that many tourists like us would like to enjoy the natural environment in Thailand. TV is also not easy to use like every where else until I called to front desk and your staff came to teach us how. Shower is fine but water keeps going on the floor as the curtain is too short to cover all the water... The restaurant provided a Petit semi breakfast, I appreciate the idea and the small self service counter offers good variety of fresh salad and fruits. Also have a warm bread basket. However, I hope you can review and change your choice of breakfast as I believe it's not attractive and quite limited. I believe that fried rice, rice with pork, wonton soup can be too much but can replace with porridge or even roti (Ayutthaya is famous for roti right?) The restaurant itself is very decent and beautiful like an art gallery. It's enjoyable to have breakfast every morning, coffee are freshly made upon ordering. Service wise, team can be more welcoming as I travel a lot, I couldn't feel the warm feeling from them from front desk to house keeping. However I would like to thank you the chubby young man, Game. He is always humble, warm and friendly. Overall it's a nice stay.

Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive

Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
