Eatery and Bar - ห้องอาหารอีเทอรี่ แอนด์ บาร์
Located along the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Ayutthaya, this restaurant and bar sits within the Sala Ayutthaya hotel property and offers one of the more scenic dining settings in the area. Directly across the river stands Wat Phutthaisawan, giving diners an unobstructed view of one of the region's historic temples while they eat. The combination of relaxed riverside ambience and elegant surroundings makes it a popular stop for both hotel guests and visitors passing through the ancient city. The menu covers a solid range of dishes suited to different mealtimes, with reviewers noting particular satisfaction with the breakfast offerings, including Eggs Benedict. Lunch and dinner draw equal praise, and while prices are acknowledged to be on the higher side, most visitors feel the setting and food quality are consistent with what a 4-star hotel restaurant commands. Service is described as friendly throughout. The restaurant is open every day from 11:30 to 21:30, making it a practical choice for a midday break after temple-hopping or a relaxed early dinner before leaving the city. Outdoor riverside seating is available, though mosquitoes can be an issue in the evenings — the staff provide fans and insect repellent, so sitting outside remains comfortable. Those sensitive to insects may prefer to time their visit earlier in the day when conditions are more pleasant.

Visitor Reviews
We had a family lunch at Sa La Eatery and Bar, and it was truly perfect. The view is absolutely stunning, the kind that makes you want to sit and savor every moment. The atmosphere is relaxed yet elegant, and the staff made us feel right at home. Great food, great drinks, and the kind of setting that turns a meal into a memory. Highly recommend for special gatherings or just a peaceful meal with a view!
This is out first stop in Ayutthaya, where you can rest from the long drive and enjoy your breakfast with a beautiful view. The breakfast set was very nice and tasty. We had egg Benedict which were yummy. Since we normally don't eat much, one set was enough for too since it comes with coffee or tea and a fresh juice ☺️
The food was great, a little expensive but then the restaurant is in a 4 star hotel so that justifies the price. The only drawback is the mosquitoes. However they do provide fans and insect repellent sprays that you can use.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
