De Riva Ayothaya
Situated along the riverfront in Ayutthaya's Pratu Chai Sub-district, De Riva Ayothaya is a riverside restaurant that draws visitors and locals alike with its combination of fresh river seafood, relaxed atmosphere, and views over the water. The setting places diners within easy reach of the ancient city's historic core, making it a practical stop for those exploring the old town on foot or by boat. The kitchen centres on river-based specialities, with grilled river prawns and fried snakehead fish among the dishes that appear most frequently in visitor feedback. Diners can choose between outdoor seating along the riverfront or an air-conditioned indoor room. Draft beer, live music, and the occasional sight of boats passing on the river contribute to a leisurely dining experience, particularly in the evenings. Prawn pricing runs around 500 to 700 THB per piece depending on size, which sits at a mid-range level relative to the surrounding area, though some visitors find the value uneven. Good to know: The outdoor riverside setting is generally comfortable for daytime dining thanks to shading, but evenings tend to offer a more atmospheric experience with cooler temperatures and live music. Those with a tight budget may want to review the menu pricing before ordering, as seafood items can add up. No website is currently listed, so confirming opening hours or reservations in advance may require a direct visit or third-party booking platform.

Visitor Reviews
I had lunch there, ordered grilled river prawn, fried snake head fish with herbal salad, etc. foods are good, outdoor table is decent, not hot, but air con indoor room also available. There were not many clients in lunch but seems more popular for dinner as i saw so many alcohol drink options. Good atmosphere of riverside with beautiful christian church at the other side of river shore, with live band at evening (Seeing musical band stage and equipment)
Cozy restaurant with river view, river prawn is nice and price is ok compare to other restaurants in the area (THB 500 and 700 / prawn). I think the size I took today is a bit small than I expected but don’t mind coz it’s fresh. Dinner time at this restaurant is very good scenery with cool air flow. The owner is very nice and supportive. Booking is needed if you want the river side desk.
We came for dinner on our family trip and were not disappointed one bit. The food was tasty, and draft beer made it a perfect evening. The venue was by the river. Too bad we went there when it was already dark. The view must have been ultra lovely at daytime. And there were live bands playing English songs to remember and Thai country songs.
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
