Tiger Muay Thai

Tiger Muay Thai is the biggest and best-known training camp in Thailand, and the anchor of Soi Ta-iad in Chalong — a kilometre of gyms, protein cafés and fighter supply shops that exists largely because Tiger put it on the map. The schedule runs far beyond Muay Thai: MMA, BJJ, boxing, wrestling and general fitness classes fill the timetable from early morning to evening, split by level, so a complete beginner and a professional fighter train on the same campus without sharing a ring. The pro side is genuine — UFC and ONE Championship fighters base their fight camps here — but the majority of guests are ordinary travellers who come for a week or a month of structured training. A standard day is two group sessions, morning and late afternoon, six days a week, with the middle of the day free for the beach, the pool or recovery. Single walk-in classes are fine, packages get cheaper by the week or month, and the surrounding soi is set up for long stays: guesthouses and apartments at every budget within walking distance, plus healthy-food cafés on every corner. Good to know: book training packages directly on the gym's website; accommodation on and around the camp sells out in high season (November–March), so sort a room before flying. Chalong is inland — Kata and Rawai beaches are 10–15 minutes away by scooter or Grab.
