Guided excursions run to sites including Racha Yai and Koh Waew North, where divers can explore coral reefs and marine life in the Andaman Sea. Reviews from Google
I had the pleasure of going diving with ‘Dive Shack’ in Bang Tao for the 2nd time this year. The company is family owned, and offers a great personal service from booking the dives in one of their two offices, to going diving at the Koh Waco island just a short long tail boat ride from either the beach or pier, both located close together in Bang Tao. All the staff are very friendly and professional. My dive master was called ‘Top’, and he was 1st class. He was extremely knowledgeable about the dive area, but always ensured his first priority was my safety, whether that was whilst I was setting up my equipment or under the water. I can’t recommend the ‘Dive Shack’ strongly enough, and will definitely be enjoying their superb and professional service when I return in early 2026. I have uploaded a couple of photos from my dive, but I am not the best with technology, and so the quality & content doesn’t do justice to the marine life I witnessed.
We had 2 fantastic dives with Chris and Poy. We hadn’t dived in a few years so we completed the refresher first which put us at ease. Chris and Poy were good fun, knowledgeable and made us feel very relaxed. We saw some amazing marine life including an octopus. Chris filmed footage for us and sent it over at the end. Communication throughout was great and we highly recommend. Thank you very much. Blain and Rory.
I took a refresher course with this diving center and had an amazing experience. The instructor was very patient, clear, and made me feel confident in the water again. The atmosphere on the boat was fun, relaxed, and caring — everyone made sure we were comfortable and enjoyed the day. Highly recommended!

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Popular Activities Online
Booking platforms like GetYourGuide give you instant confirmation and, on many activities, free cancellation — and you can read recent reviews before committing. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
