Hat Noparat Thara park

Hat Noparat Thara is a protected national park beach stretching along the Andaman Coast near Ao Nang in Krabi, offering visitors a long, natural shoreline backed by casuarina trees and framed by the region's iconic limestone karsts. Unlike the busier commercial beaches nearby, this park setting gives the area a more relaxed, unspoiled character, attracting those who prefer open space over crowded resort strips. The beach is particularly well regarded for its calm, scenic atmosphere and access to shallow tidal flats that extend dramatically at low tide, revealing sandbars and small islands within wading distance.

Visitors can expect a mix of swimming, shoreline walks, and opportunities to take longtail boats out to nearby islands. The park is part of the Hat Noparat Thara–Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park system, meaning the surrounding environment is actively protected. Facilities are present but modest, in keeping with the national park setting, and seafood vendors and local stalls can typically be found along the beach road.

As a national park, entry fees may apply for foreign visitors, and it is worth arriving earlier in the day to secure shade and avoid the midday heat. The dry season, roughly November through April, offers the most favourable swimming conditions and clearest water. Visitors should bring sun protection, as shade along the beach itself can be limited during peak hours.
