Doo Doo River Bridge
The Doo Doo River Bridge is a functional red pedestrian bridge in the Ao Nang area of Krabi, serving as a practical crossing point between Ao Nang Beach and Noppharat Thara Beach. Most visitors encounter it simply by moving between the two beaches, but it also sits within a photogenic stretch of coastline where boats and waterside scenery make for decent photographs. At night, the bridge's lighting adds a more atmospheric quality to what is otherwise an unremarkable structure during the day. The bridge crosses a small river, and visitors should be aware that the water below can carry a noticeable odour, particularly in warmer conditions. The surrounding area is worth a brief pause rather than a dedicated visit — nearby boat activity and coastal views give it some visual appeal, and it serves as a useful landmark when navigating on foot toward the Ao Nang Night Market. As a practical note, the bridge is accessible 24 hours a day with no entry fee or restrictions, making it a convenient route at any time of day or night. Those staying near Ao Nang Beach and planning to explore Noppharat Thara or the Night Market will likely cross it multiple times during their stay. It is best treated as a pleasant incidental stop rather than a standalone destination.

Visitor Reviews
The best bridge in the Ao Nang area. It works perfectly when you need to cross the river—beautiful, red, smooth, clean. It operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without any breaks. It’s also a great spot for taking Instagram photos. You can easily travel from one part of Ao Nang to the other at any time, and you can always rely on it.
It’s beautiful bridge for walking beside sea beach and road. In the night light it’s look very beautiful.
Stumbled upon the Doo Doo River Bridge while exploring Ao Nang, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. This red pedestrian bridge connects Ao Nang Beach to Noppharat Thara Beach, making it a convenient and scenic route between the two. The bridge spans the Klong Haeng River, which is often shallow, hence the name "Doo Doo," meaning "dry river." The views from the bridge are quite charming, especially with the longtail boats dotting the river and the lush surroundings. It's a great spot for a leisurely walk or to catch some nice photos. While it's not a major tourist attraction, it adds a unique touch to the area and is worth a quick visit if you're nearby.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
