Wonderful Chiang Mai Travel
Run by a hands-on operator known personally to many of his clients, this tour agency on Tha Phae Road specialises in crafting tailored travel experiences across Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and beyond. Rather than offering purely off-the-shelf packages, the team takes time to understand individual travel styles — whether that means combining cultural excursions, adventure activities, or more relaxed itineraries. Notable tour options include ethical elephant sanctuary visits, treks to see seasonal cherry blossom blooms at Doi Ang Khang, Chiang Rai day trips, temple tours, and cooking classes, with the agency also arranging tours to southern destinations such as Krabi.
The agency operates as both a travel agency and tourist information centre, meaning visitors can stop in to ask questions, gather recommendations, and plan their time in the region without any obligation to book immediately. The central Tha Phae Road location makes it easy to reach from the Old City or surrounding guesthouses and hotels. Staff are noted for their local knowledge and attentive, personalised service, with the owner frequently cited by name in visitor feedback.

Highly Recommended - Exceptional Experience with Mr. Bank Mr. Bank is one of the most sincere, kind-hearted, and genuinely caring people I’ve ever met. I was already in Chiang Mai hoping to attend the Yi Peng Festival and ceremonies, but I hadn’t planned to go to the CAD Khom Loy Sky Lantern Festival. After seeing photos online, I decided to look for tickets and that’s when I found Mr. Bank. He went above and beyond. He actually booked the ticket under my name and sent it to my email before asking for payment face to face…who does that nowadays? Most agents require full payment upfront, but he trusted me completely. The ticket I received turned out to be in one of the best zones in the VIP section, with a perfect view of the fireworks and sky lanterns. The entire process was smooth, transparent, and stress-free. What impressed me even more was his kindness … I saw him lend his motorbike to another couple for free, simply because he wanted to help. That’s the kind of person he is, genuinely good-hearted and always willing to go the extra mile. As a solo traveler, it meant a lot to have someone so trustworthy and thoughtful helping me from tickets even food (ask for the best noodles in Old Town!) I’ll definitely book my next year’s CAD Khom Loy tickets directly with Mr. Bank again next time, i can book even if I’m in Bangkok and far away! no hassle, no stress, just great service and good vibes.
From beginning to end, Mr. Bank made us fall in love with Thailand. The experience from the very first moment we walked into his office until the final goodbye was truly exceptional. His attention to detail, outstanding organisation, smooth logistics, and constant communication reminded us why choosing local agencies can be such a special and meaningful experience. We did three tours with his company, and we left wishing we had booked even more. Every activity was perfectly coordinated, every moment felt cared for, and every recommendation added genuine value to our trip. Words are simply not enough to express our appreciation and the trust we have in this agency. I am sharing some photos to show just how beautiful the experience was and how well we were guided throughout. Thank you so much, Bank. From the bottom of our hearts, sending you a warm hug from afar. We truly hope to return soon and continue discovering the beauty of Thailand with you.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Popular Activities Online
Booking platforms like GetYourGuide give you instant confirmation and, on many activities, free cancellation — and you can read recent reviews before committing. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
