JungalaPhuket
Tucked away in the Rawai neighbourhood of southern Phuket, Jungala is a wellness and healing space run by Wolf and Ploy, a couple whose dedication to mindful practice gives the place a distinctly personal and authentic character. Rather than a conventional spa, Jungala operates as a holistic health club focused on inner wellbeing, drawing visitors seeking something more meaningful than the typical resort treatment menu. Sessions on offer include sound baths using Himalayan singing bowls, chakra awareness meditation, and yoga classes. Visitors consistently describe the sound baths as deeply relaxing and the meditation sessions as genuinely grounding. Wolf, who leads many of the sessions, is noted for his passion and knowledge, and has taught guests the therapeutic traditions behind singing bowl practice in a hands-on, educational way. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, with raw vegan cakes and tea adding a warm, community feel to the experience. Jungala is not a large commercial operation, which means the experience tends to be intimate and unhurried. Prospective visitors are advised to reach out in advance to confirm session availability and scheduling, as opening hours are not publicly listed. The space is located on Wiset Road in Rawai, making it reasonably accessible from the southern end of Phuket island, including nearby Nai Harn and Kata. It suits travellers who want to slow down and engage with wellness practices in a setting that feels genuine rather than tourist-facing.

Visitor Reviews
Jan 2020: Jungala Phuket is a place run by Wolf & Ploy, many who loves Spoonful of Sugar would know them. Jungala has really tasty raw cakes and tea, but this isn't the main thing. First: It runs sound meditation and sound bath on regular basis - amazing experience if you never tried and just escaped from the loud city and need to relax and clear your mind! They do have private sessions as well. Second: they run regular yoga classes. Every person would find their class between Ashtanga (more phisical class with lots of sweat), Hatha (breath and meditative flow) and Yin (a session you would want to take if you need to realign your body after hardcore training, would it be weightlifting, running, cycling, thai boxing or anything else - for me this is perfect session for the end of your weekly circuit to recover and recuperate energy). It's very peacful at Jungala, a secret escape from the noise
Blessed to have found Jungala. Both Wolfgang and Ploy are very gifted beautiful souls. I was privileged to be taught the beauty and healing therapies of the Himalayan Singing Bowls at their teaching school. The health benefits and clarity this gave to me was phenomenal. I have tinnitus and Fybromyalgia and the healing from the bowls to this day has given me a new lease of life. I am now privileged to share the healing of the bowls here in the UK. If you’re in Rawai Phuket it must be on your “to do list” to visit Jungala and experience the calming healing vibrational atmosphere and therapies. One to one private sessions are on another level. Thank you to Wolf & Ploy for sharing with me and to their teacher Swarmi for bringing this to the world. Much gratitude 🙏🏻
Such a wonderful, peaceful place in the middle of Rawai. We found Jungala by lucky accident and were immediately struck by how nice Wolf and Ploy were. They invited us to tea, vegan cakes and we joined their sound bathing session (a shared session with Nepali bowls), a chakra meditation session and also booked an individual sound healing session (chakra balancing, also with singing bowls but private). You can really feel their passion, knowledge and deep commitment to the practice and I can only recommend visiting Jungala and learn more about the singing bowls, chakras, meditation or just watch the chickens and eat delicious cake.
Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
