Lan Sabai Retreats
Tucked away in the quiet Rawai district of southern Phuket, Lan Sabai Retreats is a small, intimate wellness centre offering a calm alternative to the island's busier resort areas. With just eight guest rooms set around a pool, the property is designed to feel like a private sanctuary rather than a commercial spa facility, drawing visitors who are looking to genuinely rest, reset, and focus on their wellbeing.
Guests can expect a thoughtfully curated experience that includes meditation workshops, detox programmes, and wellness activities developed by the retreat's own team. Visitors consistently highlight the quality of the food and drinks on offer, the attentiveness of the staff, and the tranquil atmosphere of the grounds. The retreat has also demonstrated a willingness to accommodate guests with specific health needs, including those with dietary requirements such as diabetes, making it a more inclusive option than some comparable programmes in the region.

Such a great wellness retreat I've never been! All the people there are friendly, caring,as well as the super nice environment with a cozy guest room! So amazed with those workshops designed by the founder and fellow collaborators, like yoga, singing bowl, beach meditation, vision board, astrology, qi gong etc. This stay rejuvenates my body, mind & soul, will definitely come back again. Highly recommended! ;)
Beautiful resort with pool! Went there for a 1-day meditation workshop. The resort has 8 rooms with a pool and it feels calm and relaxing. Good food and drinks! Wonderful team!

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
