PAITHRA THAI MSSAGE
Tucked in the laid-back town of Pai in Mae Hong Son province, Paithra Thai Massage has built a loyal following among both locals and long-term visitors for its team of skilled, experienced therapists. The small but dedicated team of masseuses each bring different specialties to the table, with reviewers singling out therapists by name and returning regularly over months and years. The practice appears particularly well-suited to those dealing with physical tension, muscle recovery, or chronic issues such as hip and lower back pain, with guests noting the team's strong anatomical knowledge and focused technique. The atmosphere is relaxed and personal, with a friendly, community feel that sets it apart from larger commercial spas. A resident dog greets visitors at the entrance, and the service includes complimentary water and banana after each session — a small but appreciated touch. The space is described as clean and professional, and the pricing is considered fair for the quality on offer. As Paithra Thai Massage does not have a listed website or published opening hours, prospective visitors are advised to stop by in person or ask locally for current scheduling. Given its popularity with Pai regulars and repeat clientele, booking or arriving early in the day is a sensible approach, particularly during the cooler high season months between November and February when Pai sees the highest number of visitors.

Visitor Reviews
Wow! Talk about realignment! The focus, precision, strength, knowledge of the body, the trust. These women understand the body extremely well. I have hip and lower back issues and I always pray for someone to really get in there. Finally I found an angel. Warning they are strong and I mean STRONG the sessions are like sports therapy massages. If you’re looking to fix injuries then you’ve found your place. I had a 2 hours massage with Phan and my husband had a different therapist. We were both so surprised and delighted. You can tell they truly enjoy what they do. And they enjoy the hunt of finding the spots and satisfaction of releasing them. True body whispers. I’ve been to many, many, MANY massages over my life and I say that they are well worth the visit. Thank you lovely ladies. Truly greatful 🙏💛
We are so lucky to have this place in Pai. My husband and I have been coming here regularly since 2 years. First of all, the women running it are a great and fun bunch and second they are all exceptionally skilled masseuses, not comparable to the regular "sabay sabay" type of massage parlor. Here you will receive an intense and individual treatment. For my chronic shoulder pain, P'Jan has worked her magic on me better than any physio therapy in Europe. Thank you so much and see you again soon 🫶
I've received hundreds of massages from Yan. She is the best massage therapist that I have ever had, she is a master. I run swim and do muaythai and all of the massages have helped me recover and improved my mobility and flexibility. I've tried many other massage therapists in Pai and Yan is better than all of them by a long shot! Trust me I wouldn't steer you wrong!

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
