Anantara Spa
Nestled within the Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort on the peaceful northern shore of the island, this spa offers a refined wellness experience that draws both hotel guests and outside visitors. Set within lush resort grounds overlooking Bophut Bay, the atmosphere is quiet, beautifully secluded, and designed with relaxation in mind from the moment guests arrive. Treatments range from traditional Thai massage to couples spa packages, with therapists consistently praised by visitors for their attentiveness and skill. Guests with specific physical concerns — including post-surgical recovery, nerve pain, and chronic muscle tightness — have noted that therapists adapt their techniques thoughtfully to individual needs. The spa places a strong emphasis on personalised care, and the ambiance throughout — from the decor to the overall sense of calm — reflects the attention to detail expected of the Anantara brand. Pricing reflects the resort setting, so visitors should expect premium rates in line with a luxury hotel spa experience. The spa is open daily from 10:00 to 21:00, making late-afternoon or evening appointments a popular choice for those looking to wind down after a day of exploring the island. Booking in advance is advisable, particularly for couples treatments or weekend visits, as availability can be limited. The website offers full treatment menus and the option to reserve sessions ahead of arrival.

Visitor Reviews
What an experience! The setting, the ambiance, treatments, all exceptional. It is in the Anantara property so a resort rate price is expected. But truly it is worth it! We had 90 minute relaxing massages and oh yes they were so very relaxing! Nothing like the Fisherman's Village massages. We went back and I had a full day experience with Chan as we did the Bophut Journey bundle and the Shirodhara, for five hours! It was absolutely exquisite. I had a private villa and the outdoor shower in the beautiful garden was heaven!! It was so calming, I felt like a queen! She had the right touch for all of the different treatments from the foot massage to the body scrub, the 90 minute massage, the 60 minute Shirodhara and the facial! She’s very skilled and was able to work thru my neck and shoulder knots and helped me with stretching. I enjoyed it so much I told him he should really let Chan work on his sore back and hip from previous surgeries. She suggested the Cbd treatment and he said it was very good and helped to alleviate his soreness. Thank You Chan! We will see you again! If you want to feel truly pampered, relax in very serene surroundings, and just get away from it all book an appointment at the Anantara Spa in Bo Phut today! They do accept credit cards.
I had a wonderful experience at the spa at Anantara Koh Samui. The environment is incredibly comfortable, quiet, and beautifully secluded within the hotel grounds. The spa places great emphasis on privacy, which makes the entire experience feel intimate and truly relaxing from start to finish. I would especially like to thank Aei, the lovely Thai therapist who took care of me. She speaks English and even some Chinese — and her Chinese pronunciation is impressively good! She has such a warm, genuine smile and a very calming presence. My family and I booked the 90-minute Signature Spa package. My family member chose a full-body treatment, while I had expected to have 60 minutes of body treatment and 30 minutes of facial. There may have been some miscommunication with the staff initially, and I ended up having the full 90 minutes as a body treatment. However, once Aei understood the situation, she kindly and efficiently helped rearrange another time slot on the same day for my facial — and even offered it complimentary. I truly appreciated her professionalism, flexibility, and thoughtful service. For anyone staying at Anantara, I highly recommend taking the time to experience this spa. It’s a beautiful, private sanctuary and absolutely worth visiting.
Paula and Bella 10/10. Thankyou both so much. Our experience at Anantara Spa was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, my wife and I felt completely cared for and welcomed. The setting alone is breathtaking, truly like something out of a movie. It’s so stunning and serene that you could easily host a wedding there. Every detail of the spa grounds feels luxurious, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed. We booked the 90-minute Thai Herbal Compress massage and both walked away feeling absolutely amazing. Paula was my therapist and she was outstanding, she immediately understood that I wanted proper deep tissue pressure and delivered it perfectly. It was strong, intentional, and exactly what I needed. Bella looked after my wife and instinctively knew she wanted firm yet relaxing pressure. She struck that balance beautifully, making the entire experience both therapeutic and calming. The professionalism, skill, and genuine care from both Bella and Paula made this one of the best spa experiences we’ve ever had. We left feeling rejuvenated, relaxed, and genuinely grateful. If you’re visiting Koh Samui, this is an absolute must. We’ll be talking about this experience for a long time🙏

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
