Amba
Sitting on Bond Kai Road in the quieter Bo Put area of Koh Samui, Amba operates as a multi-concept wellness destination that brings together sauna and steam facilities, a swimming pool, spa treatments, and a café-bar kitchen under one roof. The entry fee-based format gives visitors access to a calm, poolside environment where relaxation and healthy eating coexist naturally, making it a popular daytime retreat for both tourists and residents looking to recharge away from the busier beach strips. The atmosphere is consistently described by visitors as clean, unhurried, and well-maintained. The food and drink menu leans toward healthy, quality options at reasonable prices, with dishes like Mediterranean pasta salad earning particular praise. The sauna and steam room facilities are a draw, though it is worth checking the website before visiting as individual amenities can occasionally be under maintenance. Staff are noted for being friendly and attentive throughout. Amba is open every day of the week from 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM, offering genuine flexibility whether you prefer a morning session or a late-afternoon wind-down. Given the all-in-one nature of the venue, it suits a longer, leisurely visit rather than a quick stop. Booking spa treatments in advance through ambasamui.com is advisable during peak season, and checking current facility availability ahead of your visit is a practical step worth taking.

Visitor Reviews
I’ve been visiting Amber Sauna Bar and Kitchen for the past two days. Initially, I came to try the steam sauna, which is unfortunately under repair until next week. They do have another type of sauna available, which I believe is infrared. As the name implies, Amber Sauna Bar and Kitchen is a spa offering a variety of wellness services, including ice baths, a hot tub, and a swimming pool. The food here is marketed as healthy, organic, and non-GMO, which is a significant draw for clientele like myself. Since arriving in Thailand, finding organic or non-GMO products has been a challenge, so I appreciate the owner’s commitment to creating a healthy environment. With the arrival of a new chef, the food has been exceptional! I really LoVe this place because I support the healthy concept behind their food, and Drinks like “The Brain,” “The Blood,” and “The Body” offer the goodness of beetroot, carrot, turmeric, apple, pineapple, and lime. I had “The Brain” yesterday, and it was fantastic. Other fresh juices, like the “Green Goddess,” which includes cucumber, apple, greens, celery, ginger, and lime, are also available. You can enhance these with add-ins like glutamine, creatine, spirulina, wheatgrass, and green mix, making for a delightful and healthy drink selection. I’ll continue to visit Amber Sauna Bar and Kitchen for their excellent spa services and healthy drink options. I also want everyone to know that the staff is very friendly here and extremely accommodating. Overall, it’s a very pleasant atmosphere.
Had a lovely lunch at Amba. The dining area is really nice - clean, calm, and tastefully done. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal. I ordered the roasted Mediterranean pasta salad and a fruit juice. Both were delicious - fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavours, and beautifully presented!! Prices are definitely on the higher end for Thailand (more like Western pricing), but the quality makes it feel worth it if you’re looking for clean, healthy food. Great spot if you’re craving something light and nutritious in a relaxed setting.
Good, clean facility - and a popular name on the island. Nicely relaxed and perfect for those who enjoy the sun equally as the sauna. They offer from sauna and steam rooms, along with a swimming pool; cold and hot pools; and multiple an ice bath station (along with few more containers for private ice bath requests I believe). Service was friendly as well as attentive. Reasonable day pass rates.

Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
