ChabaPrai Spa
Situated on Intha Warorot Road in the Sri Phum neighbourhood, ChabaPrai Spa is a massage and wellness centre offering traditional Thai massage, oil massage, and aromatherapy treatments in the heart of Chiang Mai's historic old city. Its central location makes it an accessible and practical choice for travellers looking to build a wellness session into a day of sightseeing. The spa is consistently praised for the quality and attentiveness of its therapists, who are noted for reading individual needs — adjusting pressure intuitively and delivering treatments that feel genuinely restorative rather than routine. The space itself is clean, calm, and well-maintained, with staff described as professional and communicative, with strong English spoken throughout. Couples are well catered for, with side-by-side sessions regularly chosen by visiting pairs. Guests are welcomed on arrival with water and a towel, and staff take time to walk through available treatments before the session begins. ChabaPrai opens daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, offering reliable flexibility across a full week. Sessions are available from 60 minutes upward, so arriving with a sense of how much time is available helps in selecting the right treatment. Booking ahead through the spa's website is recommended during Chiang Mai's peak season, which runs roughly from November through February, when demand across the old city's wellness venues tends to be at its highest.

Visitor Reviews
Truly an amazing experience! It felt like she could read my body, knowing exactly when to go deep and when to be gentle. Easily one of the top massages I've ever had.
Start to finish the experience was amazing. My husband and I got a 60 min full body Thai massage and it was incredible. Would definitely recommend ChabaPrai!
Felt Excellent and rested after my massage. I was welcomed in at the door - served with water and a towel. Atmosphere was inviting and soothing. The host who welcomed me was informative of what was available and recommended according to my need and what I was looking for. Directed me to where the restrooms were right away: very hospitable. I did not expect my feet to be washed - it was definitely a surprise and given inside slippers, then I was ushered to the massage room which was how a massage room should be - inviting and relaxing. The one hour aromatherapy oil massage was worth the price. Oil made by them - not sticky. Grateful I decided to have gotten one for a break. They did this with excellence from the moment I entered til I left. Highly recommend. - Jenn

Tips for Visiting Wellness & Spas
Learn Wat Pho First
Wat Pho in Bangkok is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage education. Their on-site massage pavilion offers excellent treatments from students and graduates at reasonable prices — and you know the technique is authentic.
Communicate Pressure Preferences
Thai massage can be intense. Say 'bao bao' for lighter pressure or 'nак nак' for harder. A good therapist will check in, but don't hesitate to speak up — suffering in silence defeats the purpose.
Book Longer Sessions
A 60-minute massage is fine, but 90 or 120 minutes allows the therapist to work thoroughly. The price difference is often only 200–400 THB for an extra hour — worth it for a deeper, more relaxing experience.
