Sizzle Rooftop Restaurant
Perched above Patong on Muen-Ngern Road, this rooftop restaurant at Avista Hideaway Resort specialises in steaks and seafood, drawing evening diners looking for elevated views alongside their meal. The rooftop setting lifts guests above the energy of ground-level Patong, creating an atmosphere that works equally well for couples celebrating a special occasion or groups looking for a relaxed dinner with a view. Reviewers frequently highlight the panoramic outlook as a standout feature, with the sunset window in particular drawing praise from those who time their visit accordingly. The menu leans toward grilled meats and fresh seafood, and the kitchen generally receives positive feedback, though some dishes have drawn mixed reactions from diners with specific expectations. Service is consistently mentioned in reviews, with staff noted for attentiveness and a welcoming approach that adds to the overall experience. Sizzle opens daily from 5:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with no lunchtime service. Arriving between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM gives the best chance of catching the sunset and securing a preferred table, particularly during peak season when the restaurant draws steady crowds. During Phuket's rainy season, cloud cover can obscure sunset views, though reviewers note the ambience holds up regardless of weather. Checking the resort website in advance is worthwhile for current details and to arrange a reservation if visiting on a special occasion.

Visitor Reviews
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Phuket Must Visit I found Sizzle Steakhouse after seeing it listed as one of Phuket’s Top 25 restaurants, and it truly lived up to the hype. The moment you walk into the hotel, the décor is stunning and when the elevator doors open onto the rooftop, you’re met with one of the most beautiful dining settings imaginable, complete with live music and an incredible view of Phuket. We were seated at a gorgeous table overlooking Phuket , and the food absolutely blew me away.I ordered the Spanish octopus, and my boyfriend had the half chicken, and both dishes tasted absolutely delicious. What made the night unforgettable was the service, especially from the manager, Simona. She checked on every table with genuine warmth, and when she spoke with us, she was so fun and engaging. For our anniversary, she and the team surprised us with music, bubbles, and a special chocolate dessert we cracked open with a little hammer 🥺❤️ such a thoughtful touch that made the night truly special, we also received lemon sorbet as a welcome gift…..lemoncello after our food AND to top it off fresh made truffle chocolate at the very end. It was truly amazing We left feeling so grateful. Simona is exceptional at what she does, and it’s easy to see why she’s the manager. If you’re in Phuket, Sizzle Rooftop Steakhouse is absolutely worth a visit.
An unforgettable birthday dinner with the best view in Phuket We celebrated my partner’s birthday at Sizzle Rooftop Restaurant, and it honestly exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt special. The rooftop view is absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset, and it instantly sets the tone for a perfect evening. The service was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, making us feel welcomed and taken care of throughout the night. The food was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, with a clear Michelin level attention to detail. The steaks were perfectly cooked, the sides were delicious, and the cocktails were crafted with care. You can truly feel the quality in every bite. What made the night even more memorable was how ideal the place is for celebrations. It felt intimate, elegant, and luxurious without being stiff, the perfect balance for a romantic date night or a special occasion like a birthday. Sizzle is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience. If you’re looking for incredible food, world class views, and an atmosphere that makes moments feel unforgettable, this is the place. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended.
Partner & I had a lovely time at Sizzle, to celebrate his birthday. Unfortunately, the evening we went on was during rainy season and we were unable to watch the sunset. However, the food & ambience definitely made up for it. The menu is very meat heavy, and does not come with sides (you have to order them separately). Overall on the costly side, given that it’s a Michelin guide restaurant. We had the lamb rack, pork chop, broccolini and roasted carrots. Staff gave us some pita to start, and their tiki cocktails were great! Perfect for the tropics. We also had the sticky toffee pudding cake which was way bigger than we expected, and we were so stuffed after. The staff also came out with a surprise song & chocolate dessert for the birthday. We had a good time and would definitely recommend coming here if you’re celebrating something special (:

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
