Ra Beung Lay Seafood Restaurant
Book a table the day before if you want to sit near the water. That's the single most useful thing I can tell you about this place, because the shoreline seats fill up and the evening fire show pulls a crowd. The performers are proper professionals and the routine runs long enough that people happily let their food go cold watching it. Live music too, usually around sunset.
The menu is big and genuinely Thai, which is worth something if you've been eating along the Ao Nang strip. Deep fried sea bass, clams, prawns, squid, mixed seafood plates. Portions run generous, so two people ordering four dishes will be defeated. Prices sit in the mid range and reviewers think they're fair rather than cheap. Service comes up again and again, staff with good English who keep your water glass topped up without being asked. They also host weddings, so don't be surprised by setup out front.

We just reached Ao nang & wanted to have relaxed evening with dinner. Came up to this awesome beach side restaurant . It has a asea view with tables setup by the shore.Decor was chic and had an extensive sea food menu.We had ordered clamshells, seafood mix plate, prawns and squid. Service was a bit slow but i guess it was the 1st Jan eve but when it arrived all of themwere hitting the taste buds. Also, there was live music going on with the sunset view and around 7 pm they had nice fireshow which was a bonus for us. I guess one of the best dinner experience i had in my life. Will visit here if i am in krabi again😇😇😇😇
Probably the best service we had in Thailand. For the first time someone filling our water glasses every time they are half empty... Staff with great English and the food was delicious. We had the deep fried sea bass, caesar's salad and some steamed vegetables, and on top of that 1 and then 2 and then 3 Mohitos 🍹. Not a cheap place, but very classy and good! Apparently, they also do weddings... As we arrived there were preparations, looked amazing.
The best of our stay in Krabi. The food, the view, the Staff. Everything was perfect. Including prices. And thank you to Two, the dresser we had 3 times… always kind and hood advice

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
