KoDam Kitchen Oceanview
Perched along the coastline at Ao Nam Mao near Ao Nang, KoDam Kitchen Oceanview combines fresh seafood with an open-air setting where unobstructed water views and the sound of waves define the dining experience. The shaded, breezy outdoor setup suits the relaxed pace of a long lunch or early evening meal, while an air-conditioned indoor option is available for those who prefer it. The menu centres on seafood, with grilled prawns and Tom Kha Seafood among the dishes that draw consistent praise from visitors. Cold beers, chicken wings, and familiar Thai staples round out the offering, making it a comfortable choice for groups with varied tastes. Beyond the food, reviewers frequently single out the staff as a standout feature, describing the service as exceptionally warm and attentive even by the standards of Thai hospitality. KoDam Kitchen is open every day of the week from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM, giving visitors flexibility across lunch and dinner. Arriving for a late lunch tends to offer a quieter experience with good natural light over the water. During peak season in Krabi, roughly November through March, the restaurant draws steady crowds, so arriving early or during off-peak hours is a practical precaution for those without a reservation.

Visitor Reviews
Late lunch. Tall Chang, Grilled prawns, Tom Kha Seafood and chicken wings (got to have em after superbowl win). Service fast efficient. Loved grilled prawns (there were 6) and Tom Kha Seafood. Wings are always wings and crispy w light coating (maybe cornstarch). Sweet slightly spicy dipping sauce. Tom Kha w lime leaves, lemongrass and Ganglia. On spot. Perfect for wife add a little spice for me. Right on the beach and would be great for sunset. Very reasonable for quality. Edit: Ok, came back same day. Geek I guess. But time is short and loved this place even more this evening. Double the Prawns (another plate not shown). Awesome w beer. Added papaya salad and best Pad Thai I’ve had in a long time. Great servers. Great food awesome atmosphere right on the beach, music in background. Just right. Many thanks to all the servers. We snagged Than for the pic but they all worked together and the kitchen kept up with what turns out to be popular evening diner location.
Two days ago, I had the chance to try a seafood restaurant with my friends near Ao Nam Mao. The atmosphere was peaceful and shady, with a beautiful sea view and the relaxing sound of waves. The ambiance was absolutely wonderful. We ordered fried sea bass with fish sauce, raw shrimp in spicy fish sauce, spicy mixed seafood salad, sour curry with fish, stir-fried squid with black ink sauce, and fried pork with garlic. Every dish was made with fresh, clean ingredients, and the flavors were bold and perfectly seasoned to our taste.😋 The staff provided excellent service. They were always smiling and kept checking to make sure everything was okay. It truly made the meal even more special and memorable. Overall, I was very impressed. The prices were reasonable for the quality offered. It’s perfect for seafood lovers, and if I have the chance, I will definitely come back again. ❤️
The food here is phenomenal but in addition to that the service here was the best service we’ve had in Thailand to date. Not that we’ve ever had bad service here but you will notice the difference, our server GoT was phenomenal, he would run to you when someone needed something, he would drop everything in his hands when you asked for him, he cleaned tables with a smile - someone truly passionate about their work and goes above and beyond, they hired the best server ever! Because of him we will likely be back the following day as we are only staying 2 nights here

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
