Sound Club Samui
Sound Club Samui has built a strong reputation as one of Koh Samui's most serious nightlife venues, drawing in a crowd that comes specifically for the music. Located in Bo Put on the north side of the island, the club focuses on techno and electronic music, with a powerful sound system that visitors consistently single out as a standout feature. The interior design leans into the experience — purple lighting, a well-considered layout, and a DJ setup that keeps the dancefloor moving through the early morning hours. The venue operates every night of the week from 10 PM to 6 AM, which means peak energy typically builds well past midnight. Drinks are generally affordable, though some visitors have noted that non-alcoholic options like bottled water are priced closer to alcoholic drinks. The atmosphere skews toward those who are there to dance rather than sit and socialise, making it a better fit for music-driven nightlife than casual bar-hopping. Good to know: Some visitors have reported inconsistency at the entrance regarding ID requirements, so carrying your passport or a physical ID is strongly recommended rather than relying on a photo on your phone. Beachwear and flip-flops are unlikely to get you through the door — smart casual is the safer choice. As the club runs until 6 AM, plan your return transport in advance, since ride options can be limited in the early hours on Koh Samui.

Visitor Reviews
Absolutely electric night at Sound Club Samui hands down one of the best clubs on the Chaweng strip. The atmosphere is pure fire: those purple lights, massive sound system, and a DJ who properly knows how to keep the dancefloor packed till stupid o’clock. Drinks were spot on and decently priced (solid cocktails around 300 baht), service quick even when it was rammed. Didn’t bother with food, but who does at a place like this? If you want a proper night out on Samui, this is it. 5 stars, already planning the next one.
Loved the music and sound quality. Was fun to dance. Great atmosphere and design. Cheap drinks (except the water bottle which cost like a beer..) Also from looking from 3rd person view, the security team were super professional and smart.
If you like techno music, you should go here. It's really great, music is great and the atmosphere is very nice!! I did't like the staff behind the bar, They can't smile and look very angry.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
