Jardin Restaurant
Tucked away on Soi 7 in the quiet Mae Nam area of Koh Samui, this French restaurant has quickly established itself as a hidden gem for travellers seeking refined European dining away from the island's busier tourist strips. The kitchen delivers classic French-influenced dishes with a focus on quality ingredients, including standout seafood preparations such as pan-seared seabream fillet with crispy skin, fresh fish carpaccio, and roasted grouper, alongside meat options like confit pork and roasted chicken. Pasta dishes such as duck tortellini round out a menu that balances ambition with execution. The atmosphere is calm and romantic, making it well suited to couples and anyone looking for an unhurried evening meal. Visitors consistently note the personal touch offered by the owners, who are hands-on in the dining room and known for greeting guests warmly — in some cases, by name. The overall experience combines attentive service with a setting that feels intimate rather than formal. Jardin is open for dinner only, Tuesday through Saturday and on Mondays, from 18:00 to 22:30, with Sunday being the one day of closure. Given the small and personal nature of the restaurant, booking ahead is strongly advisable, particularly during the high season between December and March. The restaurant is located on a residential soi, so first-time visitors should allow a little extra time to find it.

Visitor Reviews
Exceptional french cuisine in a new location. Starter were very good but the main courses were amazing. Highly recommend. Confit pork sheets was very tender and the sauce 5/5. Seabream filet was the best and again the sauce. Tiger prawns had a very good balance with the crab meat.
Jardin Koh Samui offers a memorable dining experience characterized by warmth and exceptional culinary delights. Upon arrival, staff greeted us by name, creating an inviting and personal atmosphere. Jane and her team welcomed us with friendliness that enhances the overall dining experience, making us feel valued and appreciated. Whilst they didn’t have our initial wine we ordered, the French Chardonnay we chose is now a favourite. The entrée of buffalo mozzarella salad was a standout in its freshness and presentation. The beef cheek was simply outstanding. Not only was the flavor was rich and satisfying, but the presentation also exceeded expectations, demonstrating a creative approach. The dining experience at Jardin Koh Samui was nothing short of magical. From the warm welcome to the exquisite food and wine, every aspect contributed to an unforgettable evening.
A truly amazing experience - we were pleasantly surprised finding this gem. Quality of food, service, atmosphere and price deserve top marks. We met the owners, who are so friendly and deliver a perfectly professional service. We came for dinner, the menu has plenty of options, in fact it was not easy to choose one as all seemed delicious. The duck homemade tortellini were wow and the Snapper fillet with Chorizo was so full of flavours! We are already talking about going back to try more dishes. The dessert menu is also extensive and very tasty. Wine selection is good with plenty of options, we had the delicious French Rose that night which was on promotion at 750THB, which was amazing value and made our experience even better. Go and give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
