J&J Street food @Meanam Samui
Tucked into the quieter Mae Nam area on Koh Samui's north coast, this street food market brings together a relaxed collection of food stalls, drink vendors, and dessert stands under one roof. Rather than a single restaurant, it operates as a small open-air market where visitors wander between vendors and order from whichever stalls catch their eye — a format well suited to groups with different tastes or travellers who want to graze across several dishes. The food selection leans toward familiar market staples done well, with standout mentions from visitors including ultra-fresh smoothies, cocktails, crepes, and Korean-style bingsu (shaved ice) that has drawn particular praise. Most vendors cover the essentials of Thai street food alongside international snacks and desserts, and prices are notably affordable. Staff at some stalls will bring orders to shared seating areas on request, which adds a layer of ease to the experience. The market is open every day from noon until 10pm, making it a practical choice for both lunch and evening meals. It tends to be on the smaller and quieter side compared to busier markets elsewhere on the island, which suits those looking for a more relaxed atmosphere. Visiting earlier in the evening is a reasonable approach to catch the full range of vendors before they sell out of popular items.

Visitor Reviews
Visited a couple of times in the last few days, enjoyed every time. Small and relatively quiet when we visited but had a good selection of the usual market food and drinks, good cocktails and crepes too. I particularly liked the stall making typical Thai dishes, the stall selling chicken, beef burgers etc and the stall selling fried dumplings, really good food and cheap too. Highly recommend.
A real favorite ❤️! Ultra-fresh smoothies, incredible flavors, and the sweetest service ✨ The perfect stand to treat yourself at the street food market! Kob khun kha!!
Nice place with many little restaurants. Lots of choices for food, drinks and desserts. They will bring you the ordered food to the table if you ask.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
