Easy Bar
Easy Bar sits on Maenamkwai Road in the heart of Kanchanaburi's riverside strip, making it a natural stop after a day spent visiting the River Kwai Bridge or the Death Railway sites. Regulars and passing travellers alike are drawn in by the casual, welcoming vibe, the full-size pool table, and a sound system that consistently earns praise for playing the best music on the street. The staff are a genuine highlight here. Reviewers frequently mention warm, attentive service, and the owner Ann has built a loyal following among repeat visitors who return year after year. The bar keeps prices fair and local, the ventilation is good enough to stay comfortable on warm evenings, and the atmosphere is relaxed enough that guests have been known to step behind the decks and guest DJ for the night. It is the kind of place that feels welcoming whether you walk in solo or with a group. Good to know: Easy Bar opens at 5pm every day of the week and stays open until 1am, so it fits easily into any evening plan regardless of when you arrive in Kanchanaburi. The location on Maenamkwai Road puts it within walking distance of guesthouses and other riverside venues. Check the Facebook page before heading over for any updates on events or closures.

Nice bar with many sweet employees. Fair bar prices and good volume on their music. Good full size pool table and good working ventilators make it comfortable to stay. Also the only bar in the street where girls are dancing a bit for the customers

Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
