newbie huahin
Newbie Hua Hin is a popular nightclub and bar situated on Phet Kasem Road in the heart of Hua Hin, drawing a mixed crowd of expats and locals looking for a proper late-night out. The venue has built a reputation as one of the more energetic options in town, offering a well-rounded night of entertainment that goes beyond the typical bar setup. Inside, guests can expect live performances from Thai bands alternating with DJ sets between acts, keeping the energy on the dance floor consistent throughout the night. Fourteen commercial-grade air conditioners maintain the interior at around 23 degrees Celsius, making it genuinely comfortable to dance and socialise even on warm evenings. Reviewers highlight the impressive sound quality, friendly staff, and a clean, well-maintained space that feels welcoming to first-time visitors and regulars alike. For travellers passing through Hua Hin and hoping to connect with locals or fellow visitors, this venue offers a sociable atmosphere without the stuffiness of more exclusive clubs. As opening hours are not publicly listed, it is worth checking ahead or arriving later in the evening, as the venue appears to operate primarily as a late-night destination. It is a solid choice for anyone wanting live music and a lively crowd in a comfortable setting.

Visitor Reviews
A quality venue that caters to expats and locals. Thai bands in and DJ between sets. 14 commercial grade air conditioners keep the temperature at a dance friendly 23C. The seats are designed for people to dance on and a lot do! Groups arrive and stand around their own tables , no dance floor to speak of. Great lighting rig but under-utilised and not in sync with the music (unfortunately)., with the right controller and technician they could take the experience next level! Wine only by the bottle, Chang is the only beer. I paid 888 THB for a bottle of red at 2:20 am Note: if you break a glass the staff will demand that you immediately pay for the breakage costs. For Thailand it’s open very late, men require photo ID, , mandatory pat down. A lot of very drunk people by closing time, which I suppose is what the place is designed for. Not exactly my favourite type of place but I don’t take away any starts based on that.
Very nice and clean club, staff was very friendly, sound quality is amazing. A good place to meet local people when traveling in hua hin !
Great late night option for drinks and live music.
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
