Na Na Bar
Know what you're walking into and this one's fine. It's a hostess bar on Soi 80, which means the welcome is warm, the staff are chatty and English-speaking, and you'll likely be asked to buy someone a drink before your first beer is half gone. One reviewer bristled at how fast that came. If that's not your scene, walk on. If it is, the people here get named in reviews, which tells you something about how the place is run.
Small Chang goes for around 80 baht, so the money side is honest enough. The room itself is nothing much and at least one visitor thought it could use a freshen-up, but it's clean and the music's decent. Afternoons are the quiet stretch, sometimes empty, which suits anyone who wants a beer and a bit of conversation without a crowd. Later on it fills out.
My advice: treat it as a social stop rather than a destination. Have two or three, chat, move along the soi.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
