Do You Ever Social Club
Do You Ever Social Club is a characterful neighbourhood bar on Siri Mangkalajarn Road, close to Chiang Mai University, drawing a predominantly local Thai crowd alongside travellers who stumble upon it. The eclectic decor and relaxed atmosphere give it a genuine sense of identity that sets it apart from the more tourist-oriented bars in the city, and the music selection consistently earns praise from visitors. The drinks menu leans into the classics — beers, Thai whiskey, and well-mixed cocktails — at prices that are notably easy on the wallet. Gin and tonics come in at around 130 THB, and reviewers describe them as solid pours rather than watered-down budget options. Food is also available alongside drinks, making it a reasonable spot for an early evening visit as well as a late-night one. The bar opens at 17:00 every day of the week and stays open until 01:00. For practical purposes, it is worth knowing that the bar accepts card payments with no surcharge, which is a genuine convenience in an area where cash-only venues are still common. The bar tends to be quieter on weeknights, making those evenings a good option for anyone who prefers a more low-key atmosphere. Weekends will naturally draw a livelier crowd. The Facebook page listed on the venue profile is the best place to check for any events or updates before visiting.

Visitor Reviews
Very nice place eclectic! With good music. I passed in front of this place so many times and finally on my last day in CNX we stoped for a drink. It was Monday evening. It was not so busy but i would definitely hang here more often if I lived here.
130 baht for a gin and tonics! Such a good bargain. Creative decor. And most importantly, as a tourist with limited cash, they accept card with no surcharge. I will come back!
Very cool Thai bar. Most of the audience is Thai as well. I guess that‘s a place for students from the nearby Chiang Mai university. It‘s a classic kind of bar with mostly beers and Thai whiskey. But they also have food. Not only beer food. Looks quite nice.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
