Tops Central Krabi
Tops Central Krabi is a spacious, air-conditioned supermarket located on Phet Kasem Road in Sai Thai, making it a practical and popular stop for both locals and travellers stocking up during their time in Krabi. The store is notably large by local standards, with a broad selection of groceries, fresh produce, and healthy food options at prices that visitors consistently find reasonable compared to smaller convenience stores in the area. One of the standout features is the Tops Wine Cellar section, which carries a solid range of wines and spirits — a useful find for those planning gatherings, villa stays, or simply looking to pick up a bottle for the evening. The supermarket format means shoppers can browse everything from international food brands to local Thai ingredients, and staff are generally noted as friendly and approachable. As with many supermarkets in Thailand, the quality of fresh and perishable items can vary, so those shopping for fresh produce may want to visit earlier in the day when stock is more likely to be at its best. Tops Central Krabi is particularly well-suited for travellers staying in self-catering accommodation, those preparing for island trips, or anyone wanting to avoid the higher prices typical of resort-area convenience stores.

Visitor Reviews
We had such an amazing experience in the evening today in Tops Wine Cellar where we have been shopping for a family event buying a bunch of specific spirits and wines to treat our guests. We have arrived right after alcohol sales ban was lifted (after elections) and managed to get pretty much everything we wanted even though the shelf space in the shop is sort of on the smaller side. The real highlight of our experience was the staff and in particular the man helping us out with the drinks and packing, as well as giving us special checkout treatment without even us asking for it - I’m sad I didn’t manage to catch their name but honestly this was the most pleasant customer service experience I’ve experienced in Thailand so far. ขอบคุณครับ!
It's a very nice, large, and refrigerated market. The selection is huge; there's something for everyone. The staff are friendly. The prices are also lower than in other stores. It's definitely worth a visit.
The best thing Krabi have after a long long time. Very good quality and variety of foods. A lots of healthy food options and price very reasonable.
Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
