Central Pinklao
Serving the west bank of Bangkok from its address on Borommaratchachonnani Road in Bangkok Noi district, Central Pinklao is a sizeable shopping centre bringing together fashion, electronics, everyday retail, and a broad range of dining options under one roof. Anchored by a large TOPS supermarket, it draws both residents and visitors looking for a practical, all-in-one destination that covers daily needs alongside leisure shopping. A recently launched "Eat and Treats" food zone has expanded the already extensive dining offer, which spans Thai and international cuisine across multiple restaurants and a food court. The atmosphere is lively and family-friendly, with wide floor layouts and directory signs positioned near escalators to help visitors navigate between levels. The scale of the mall means there is consistently plenty to explore, and the variety of food options makes it a reasonable choice for anything from a dedicated shopping trip to a casual afternoon out. Good to know: Central Pinklao is open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with on-site parking available for those arriving by car. Visitors from central Bangkok can reach it by taxi or tuk-tuk. Renovation and construction work has been ongoing in parts of the mall, which has temporarily affected escalator access on some routes, so allow extra time to navigate between floors and check the official website at centralpinklao.com for current updates before visiting.

Our first visit on 2 March 2026. Fantastic shopping mall. Everything you need is here. A lot of food choices and a huge TOPS supermarket. Much better than the Central Rama9 mall near our home.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
