Central Pinklao

4.5(27,338 reviews)

Come here to eat, honestly. The food is the reason this place works, spread across the ground floor and floor five, with ramen, shabu buffet and sukiyaki among the options, plus a newer "Eat and Treats" zone stacked with dessert and drink brands. If you're shopping, the big TOPS supermarket is what most people are really coming for, alongside the usual fashion and electronics floors. It's a practical mall rather than a glamorous one, and it serves the west bank of the river well.

Size is both the appeal and the problem. It's large, the layout is wide, and there are directory signs behind the escalators that you'll want to actually use. Reviewers in 2025 flagged ongoing construction knocking out escalators, which means backtracking to find one heading your way. Ground floor toilet signage gets criticised too, and the queue for the women's can run long. Neither of those ruins a trip, but budget more time than you'd think for moving between levels.

🛍️ Central Pinklao – A Shopper’s & Foodie’s Paradise! This is not just a mall—it’s a whole experience. Central Pinklao is absolutely massive and packed with endless options for eating, shopping, and fun. 🍜 Food Heaven on Floors 5 & G The food zones are a dream come true! Whether you’re craving ramen, shabu buffet, sukiyaki, or just about any cuisine you can imagine—they’ve got it all. It’s a deliciously overwhelming spread that will leave you spoilt for choice. 👗 Shop ‘Til You Drop From fashion and accessories to sweet treats and an amazing kids' section with almost every brand you can think of, this mall truly has something for everyone. ✅ Mall Layout & Vibe What really stands out is how well-designed and easy to navigate it is. I never felt lost! The displays are beautiful, the atmosphere feels fresh and vibrant—almost like it’s been newly renovated—and each zone has its own colorful charm. 🅿️ Convenient & Free Parking Yes, you read that right—parking is not only ample and easy to find, but it’s also FREE! A huge plus in Bangkok. 💬 Final Thoughts Walking through Central Pinklao feels exciting, refreshing, and full of discovery. If you’re looking for a one-stop destination that truly has everything, this is it. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Our first visit on 2 March 2026. Fantastic shopping mall. Everything you need is here. A lot of food choices and a huge TOPS supermarket. Much better than the Central Rama9 mall near our home.

Did not have a great experience when visiting in August 2025. There were many constructions ongoing in the mall, leaving multiple escalators that did not work. You have to walk far to find the next escalator that goes in the direction that you want. The signage for the toilet at G Floor is a disaster. I followed it and always lead to a place where there were no toilets. It is very unclear where the toilets are. The queue for women was very big as well, 15 minutes of queueing. This is not good and should be improved.

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls

Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.

Arrive Early or Late

Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.

Be Cautious with Tailors

Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
